Chicken chettinad (dry)

Chicken chettinad -dry (chicken uppukari)
                                  
                                            In chettinad, peoples call tis recipe as chicken uppukari. here the chicken  is cooked with very little ingredients.....the special abt this recipe is that it doesn't need any tomatoes but tastes soo good that peoples ask 4 more....it's  cooked in no time n is very easy 2 make.....all that u need is the 3 main ingredients - chicken,onions and spicy red chillies that's it.....here goes the process...



Ingretients:

Chicken - 250 gms (medium sized ).
Shallots or Small onion - 1/3 cup sliced (big onions can also b used ).
Red chillies - 5 nos (each broken to 3 parts).
Salt - to taste.
Saunf / Aniseed  - 1tsp.
Urad Dhall / Black gram - 1 tsp.
Oil - 4 tbsp.

Method:

=> In a pressure pan add in  4 tbsp of oil.

=> temper 1 tsp of  urad dhal n saunf / aniseed.

=> Add in red chilles n stir for 3-4 seconds.

=> Add in shallots / small onion n stir fry till onion turn pinkish.

=> Now add in chicken n salt , stir for a minute n close the lid for two whistle.

=> Allow the pressure to drop , open the lid.

=> If it's still watery then allow it to dry on high flame.

=>Garnish with coriander leaves n serve .

NOTE : NO WATER IS NEEDED FOR THIS RECIPE  SINCE THE CHICKEN SELF COOKS WITH IT'S WATER
