Vendai Fries

Vendai Fries
It's a deep fried snack where ladies finger takes up the lead role.

It's similar to Okra fry but prepared in the way of south-Indian style of cooking. the process of making is that easy that it just needs combining of all the in ingredients n deep frying it. it's easy to make, crispy n tasty n prepared in no-time.....

it's heavily raining here...n these fries are a g8 treat along with hot masala flavored tea...

Ingredients:
vandai or ladies-finger - 6 (diagonally sliced - approximately 1/2 cm each).
gram flour - 3 tbsp (or) maida/ refined flour - 3 tbsp..
rice flour - 1 tbsp.
corn flour - 1tsp.
cumin powder - 1/2 tsp.
coriander powder - 1 tsp.
chilli powder - 1 tsp.
pepper powder - 1/4 tsp.
gin-gar paste - 1/2 tsp.
fresh curry leaves( chopped) - 2tsp.
salt - as needed.
turmeric powder - 1/2 tsp. ( if needed, can add some red food color to brighten up).
oil - for deep fry.

Method:
=> clean, pat dry n diagonally slice the ladies-finger .

=> combine all the ingredients except oil n leave it for 10 minutes.

=> deep fry the vendai slices by separating the slice n dropping it in  oil.

=> as usual, deep fry till it becomes crisp n golden brown.

=> transfer it to an absorbent paper.

Serve it with pudina chutney, tomato sauce or with chilli sauce for more spiciness.

it's a best evening snack during monsoon.
