PALAK BAJJI




INGREDIENTS:

Palak Leaves( spinach leaves) - 15 whole leaves.
Gram Flour - 1 cup.
Rice flour - 1 tbsp.
Chilli Pwd - 1 tsp.
Turmeric Pwd - 1/2 tsp
Red Color Pwd - A pinch.
Salt - 1 tsp.
Baking Soda - 1/4 tsp.
Carom seeds or Omam(in tamil) or Ajwain seeds(in hindi) - 1/2 tsp.
Water - for the mixture.
Oil - for deep frying.

METHOD:


=>clean the leaves with water n pat dry.

=>Sieve the gram flour n rice flour to avoid lumps in the mixture.

=> Now add chilli pwd, turmeric pwd, salt, baking soda and  carom seeds.

=> Mix it well.

=>Now add the red color pwd to 1 tbsp of water n dissolve well n add it to the flour mixture.

=>Now add more needed water to the flour mixture till u get the consistency (the consistency should not be too thick or too thin).

=>Now dip the leaves one by one into the batter n deep fry.

GOES WELL WITH TOMATO KETCHUP


my KIDS LOVE IT......since we have seeded some spinach in a pot...my kids used 2 plug off some fresh leaves to make SPINACH BAJJI......



This recipe can be DONE IN 5 TO 10 MINUTES if u have all the materials in hand...
